General Property Trust's $500 Million Shopping Centre

? GENERAL Property Trust's $500 million shopping centre plan for Newcastle's central business district includes a multi-screen cinema complex.

The cinemas would be built at the eastern end of the Hunter Street Mall on the corner of Newcomen and King streets.

Reading Cinemas, which operates a multiplex in Maitland, has been linked to GPT's Newcastle project.

The Reading logo is also displayed on the cinemas in GPT's concept art for its Charlestown Square redevelopment.
